There is a season in life when it feels like God has forgotten you. You have prayed, believed, done everything right — and still nothing has moved. I know this season intimately. As a single mom building from scratch, there were months when I questioned everything.
The Delay Is Part of the Design
The waiting is not wasted. God does not delay because He has forgotten you. He delays because He is preparing you — for a blessing far greater than what you originally asked for. Think of a seed planted in the ground. Beneath the surface, roots are deepening. Strength is being built. The delay is not a denial — it is a deepening.
What to Do in the Waiting
- Stop measuring your progress against others. God is writing a unique story with your life.
- Go deeper, not wider. Use the waiting to heal, to journal, to do the inner work your future self will thank you for.
- Speak to the future, not the present. Declare what you are believing for, even when it feels distant.
- Find the lesson in the waiting. Every delay carries a gift.
The Breakthrough Is Coming
I eventually walked into everything I had been believing for — the home, the peace, the life. It came in God’s perfect timing, not mine. Your delay is not your destiny. Keep going.
